This is my personal, virtual keepsake box and a record of my family as it grows. Many things have changed for me since I became a mum in 2011 and I am still making adjustments to my life so that it works for me, my husband Daddy Damson and our beautiful boy, Blue.
I always wanted to be a mum but when I had to decide what to do about returning to work I had to admit to myself that being a full-time stay at home mummy didn’t feel quite like ‘me’ although I wanted to be my son’s main carer. I knew that I needed to do something to make me feel more like myself but returning to my previous career was not an option.
I wanted to help other mums so I decided to build a business around my personality. I love finding great places to visit with my son and getting out and about and I know that there are many parents like me who want to know what is going on locally, so my idea for my own website themummysphere.co.uk was born. I organised childcare for Blue one day a week and I set up my own company so I could be in control of my own destiny and do something for me and other mums.
My website has been a fantastic way for me to combine working with being a mummy and I am really enjoying the online community that goes with it but I feel more and more like I want to tell my stories. So, this is it. Welcome to Damson Lane.
